Balázs Baji


A sixteen-time Hungarian champion, bronze medal at the World Championship, silver medal at the European Championship and a Universiade champion; the Hungarian hurdle runner is also a member and the vice-chairman of the European Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission. Besides his incredible achievements in sports, he has graduated as a vetinary surgeon and currently practices his profession besides athletics. The good-looking athlete has great communication skills, thus he takes care of his media appearances without problem. Due to his strong personality and thoughtful thinking, he is valued not only for his sports results, but also for his human values. Balázs’s best was run in Székesfehérvár in 2017 and his result of 13.15s is obviously a Hungarian record as well. Besides, he also holds the Hungarian record for the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.53s.
